Chancellor’s Scholarships Eligibility

Who is eligible/To be eligible for this scholarship, you must:
Have an undergraduate (Hons) degree from UK or Irish University and hope to get first
Accepted a place offer in the full-time or part-time masters course starting in September 2022.
Who is not eligible
If you are not eligible for this scholarship:
Applying for a master’s degree at a university other than the University of Sussex.
He is approaching the final year of the Integrated Masters in Sussex.
Are you a Sussex graduate in 2022?
You have studied at a UK university overseas campus or at an overseas program.
You already have another scholarship from the University of Sussex (ie Sussex Alumni Award).
You are studying one of the excluded courses listed below.

Excluded courses

  • If you are going to study any of the following, you are not eligible for this scholarship:
  • Certificates and Diplomas (including PGCE)
  • Courses at Brighton and Sussex Medical School (BSMS)
  • MA Development Studies
  • Early Childhood Education (with the status of Early Childhood Education Teacher)
  • Master in Globalization, Business, and Development
  • Master in Governance, Development, and Public Policy
  • Power, Participation, and Social Change MA
  • Master in Poverty and Development
  • Social work eligibility (if you receive an NHS grant)

How to apply for Chancellor’s Scholarships:

To be considered for Chancellor’s MSc Scholarship, you must receive and accept an offer of a place on a qualified MSc in Sussex and you are expected to receive a First Class UK or Irish Bachelor’s degree. To apply for a scholarship, you must provide a statement of academic interest.

You must include information about:

Your previous academic achievement and excellence.
Your academic and professional aspirations after completing your master’s degree
Any work or extracurricular activities that are related to your master’s degree.
